Lo entiendo diferente que los compañeros. El uso de "squarely" es un poco raro para decir "directamente" o similares. Para "directamente" podrían haber dicho "straight", "directly"...

En este caso entiendo que se refieren a que coloques "en perpendicular", "en ángulo recto" un elemento con respecto al otro.
