Shorting someone means giving them less than they paid for. For ex., You sell a dozen eggs but only give the customer 11.

Leonardo: es una expresión muy coloquial. Supongo que tiene que ver con lo que se conoce como short selling. Si es así, te envío lo que encontré.

Conservando el tono totalmente coloquial, lo traduciría así. A eso se reduce: algunos clientes pretenden la entrega de carga completa, para que no los engañemos, o les entreguemos de menos.
