The ***Humoral Doctrine***
Greco-Roman scientific concepts originated in attempts to cure disease and achieve a healthful balance. Disease was considered to be a disturbance of the natural harmony of the body. According to Hippocrates (460-375 B.C.), everything on the earth. and in the universe was made up of four elements (air, earth, water, and fire) that had their analogues in the human body in the form of the four ***humors***(blood, phlegm, black bile, and yellow bile). When the four ***humors*** were in balance, the body enjoyed health.

"Χυμικό δόγμα" όμως δε βρήκα.
