I suspect this is one of those funny words, where everyone knows what it is, but there's no one specific term for it. I've certainly looked at countless of these on walks up and down various hills.
Here's and English reference for my suggestion: it certainly doesn't just exist as a translation of the equivalent French term!
Sedbergh photosSedbergh home, Winder's summit provides good long distance views in most directions. Close to the Ordnance Survey trig point is an orientation table, ...

Well to differentiate it from a geographic map

: The thing is, these "tables" rarely resemble maps - they are not to scale and only (usually) show visible viewpoints

viewpoint map
This is the one and only convincing reference I found for the term:
Consequently, although there is a viewpoint map, erected by a past Mayor, little can be seen of the view depicted and the map is overgrown. ...

I also thought of "outdoor map" but found nothing to back it up.
In any case I would definitely call it a "map" and not a "table" or an "indicator"

Indeed, like tourist maps - maps don't have to be to scale or show every geograhical feauture, they can be highly stylized and very selective
