French term

marge créditrice et débitrice

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) accounting
cash-pooling conventions to be signed between pool leader and subsidiary which state,f or currrent accounts, the "taux de rémunération" (=basic intererest rate?) and the *marge créditrice et débitrice appliquée sur le taux de référence", end of sentence. next up, the "plafond maximum pour l'octroi d'avances en compte courant" so i don't think 'marge débitrice' is thesame as overdraught (=arrears).
Thanks in advance,...
(how i hate accounts and finance!)

credit and debit interest rate margin

My understanding is as follows -- there is a nominal interest rate (taux de reference), e.g. 5% but the bank has to establish at least two rates -- a debit rate to be charged on outstanding debts, which may be 5.8%, and a credit rate, to accrue on deposits, etc., which is likely to be 4.6%, for example. In such a case, the debit margin is 0.8%, and the credit margin is 0.4%
