Speaking of Angola specifically and I believe this is what this question is about and as far as birth, death registration records and certificates are concerned, a unique page is referred to on the registration certificate and this page can either be frontal or verse, for instance my own birth certificate was recorded under Nº x, on page x, (verse), book Nº x, year x at the Civil Registry Nº x. So even though in Portuguese it says “folhas” I believe the English translation should be “page” not “pages”, because it usually goes down (and fits) on a single page.
