French term or phrase: Comment allez vous faire....
Mais mon petit Samir, faut bosser un peu plus … comment allez vous faire pour vous intégrer si vous n’entrez pas à l’ENA ou à Science-Po ?

This sentence seems simple enough to translate but I have a few questions about it. It's the words that accompany a cartoon in an article about education in France. The form of address "mais mon petit Samir" seems quite affectionate, but I'm not sure why "vous" is used rather than "tu". Is it because "Samir" is a reference to those of North African origin and so "vous" is a collective term? (the content of the article doesn't focus on this). Has anyone any other suggestions? If that is the case, I'm not sure how to translate it so as to convey the full meaning in the English. Thanks for any help.

agree  Y. Peraza: No "all": It's not clear if she means just the boy or a community, and just by using "you" both cases would be covered.

agree  David Goward: but not with "all". She's talking to just the boy, IMHO.

agree  LBMas: I'd cut "just," because this guy is being condescending without trying to sound like it. And "just" makes it too obvious/stronger. (Like Bridgette's suggestion too.)

Explanation:
My problem would be how to transate "intégrer"! Is it common now to say 'integrate" in English?

Explanation:
<<faire>> and <<pour vous integrer>> is a tautology.
