bonjour! la formulation suivante n'est pas très claire, j'aurais volontiers entendu l'avis d'un tiers:

I think that the sentence would be meaningful if an "if" were put at the beginning. Is there an "If" missing ?

je dirais plutot qu'il s'agit de "en quelque sorte" et non de "de façon à"

To me "in such a manner" means that the damages should be more substantial.
