-------------------------------------------------- Note added at 26 mins (2006-04-04 13:41:04 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Je me rends compte maintenant que ma définition ne convient pas dans ce contexte. Pardon! |

? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2006-04-04 15:31:20 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- On peut dire 'take up the slack in an organisation' et dans plusieurs sens figuré de ce genre. |

info Explanation: In treating taut periarticular ligaments, the recommended adjustive thrust is similar to that used for other types of fixations with essentially two differences: (1) the slack taken in the overlying tissues is less than with total fixations and even more so than with muscular fixations; The vertebral segment is then passively moved to its limit of motion or barrier to remove slack motion, and a small force, localized to the specifically identified joint, is applied to hold that position. http://www.emedicine.com/pmr/topic200.htm This balance can be maintained for some time, but creep in the soft tissue is apt to give enough slack after an interval, which will reflexly 'wake up' the 'guardian' internal obliques. http://paracelsusclinic.com/articles/display.asp?ID=52 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 hrs (2006-04-04 23:47:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- allow some slack in the Muscle, which makes it easier to grasp the fibers. ... as well as being at least as efficient as HVLA thrust Techniques in ... www.techortho.com/pt/re/techortho/fulltext. 00013611-200303000-0013.htm;jsessionid=CWuOXfNPMQ5d6AovZG4eEv...
