agri-food facilities (or "sites")

agri-food is straight forward. "Implantations", however, could be anything - a farm, a buying facility, a local produce collection centre, a warehouse, a food transformation plant, a distribution centre at the target end of the supply chain, and even a city market. In the context,of an agri-food firm, it seems to be "all of the above". Therefore in English, you need a term that is as vague or all-encompassing as in French. Thus "facility" is suggested.

agri-food plants

It seems to me like the company probably has plants (as in factories) in the food industry.
Peer comment(s):

agree Anna Quail : Sounds likely. "implanter" : set up, establish, so logically it means agri-food industries that have been established. // Good night, M-M :-)

(establishment of) agroalimentary industries

I think you can choose between Agri-food and Agroalimentary depending on the target country/audience...

Canada (Canadian Agri-Food Research Council, for example) and Australia seem to prefer Agri-food while Africa/Europe seem to like Agroalimentary. (Except Ireland uses Agri-Food officially and UK has an 'Agri-food development service.)

The US seems to use both in research center titles and industry reports.

I've seen both used in translations for French companies/regions.

And just to make the whole thing more tricky, have also seen Agro-alimentary with hyphen.

Hope this helps!
