Hi Yolanda - your suggestion just sounds clumsy to my ears, if not with sections/phrases in the wrong order. In 8 years in Spain I have never heard the word cheque used in reference to employees' pay - paycheck may be common in the US but it is unknown here and wouldn't be acceptable, cash is king, bank transfer at the very least !!
