English term

tilling biscuits

English to Spanish Other Food & Drink
¿Alguien alguna vez oyó hablar de "tilling biscuits"?

Contexto: dos expatriados ingleses se juntan a tomar el té y uno de ellos dice: "Tilling biscuits, that brings back memories. Tilling biscuits and pomegranate marmalade".

Muchas gracias!

biscuits from Tilling

Any more context?
I've never heard of Tilling biscuits as a type of biscuit, but it may refer to the imaginary town of Tilling, the setting for some books written by E.F. Benson about characters called Mapp and Lucia. They were set in the early part of the 20th. century in a small provincial English town, and though I've not heard of pomegranate marmalade before either, eating it with biscuits and probably drinking tea sounds very much like the sort of thing the characters might do (haven't read the books but have heard excerpts).

I think I saw references to it and possibly a recipe or two in passing on Google!
agree Refugio : Sounds the most likely, unless this is some kind of slang I never heard before for 'scarfing'

neutral Tomás Cano Binder, BA, CT : Hm...

Peer comment(s):
