Idiot-level help needed
Aug 18, 2014
I'm trying to fix this problem now. It seems I have to reinstall WF or reset the macros. However, when I "press Ctrl+Alt+W to install Wordfast", it doesn't work. The next instruction is as follows: "If installation fails, use the Tools/Macro/Security menu"... but the problem is, I can't find this menu and am not sure where I'm supposed to be looking for it. .
Have followed David's instructions and it seems to be working again, although I still couldn't find that Tools menu ... panic... See more

Tools/Macro/Security pertains to pre-Word 2007. In other words, these are outdated instructions for most people. Version-specific installation instructions can be found here:

Thanks for that. I was feeling like such a chump not being able to find the menus! My installation is customised with a mix of software versions and I'm not even sure which version of WFC I have installed.... so I just did a search and it turn out I have 2 versions of Wordfast.doc installed, both from 2007... maybe I should reinstall a more recent version? Whatever, it seem to be working again now anyway, so thanks for the heads up
