...a friend of mine had a similar problem, and the cause was one of the settings in Google toolbar blocking pop-ups, without her having changed anything. You could check if your browser is doing the same. Luck!

Thank you,I was using stopzilla and it was blocking pop-ups. Now everything seems to be ok .Thank you a million, sometimes I fail to get the right idea. Best Brandis

Postings from me and Sylvia Malich and others were hidden because of remarks about the way the problem was presented. Hiding the postings is not a solution in the long run. As you can see in this thread, where other colleagues like Sylvain, Williamson, Loek van Kooten have the same concerns.
