However, it my customers' preferred CAT tool, not mine. In fact, I have never been asked by customers over here to use any other tool. You have to move with the blows, unfortunately.

I only use WF, but preferred? I hate it! I prefer working in Word.

I use Trados 2011 / Across 5 45% / 45% and then comes Transit and MemoQ I find Across and Trados equally comfortable to use since Trados copied them

Out of the ones I've tried, Trados Studio 2014 | Jan 26, 2014 |
I used WordFast as a backup for a time, when Trados was particularly likely to seize up over an update... But came back to Trados because I prefer Multiterm to the WF glossary. Trados has come a long way since then, faced with healthy competition from WordFast and MemoQ. I put other, because my clients require Trados. I don't really have any choice in the matter.

I have and use Trados, but my favourite translation tool is still pen and paper with lots of well-thumbed, non-electronic dictionaries.

I do most of my work in a proprietary tool fom my best client, and I'm really comfortable using it. For jobs that don't require the use of a particular tool, I use Trados (still using the 2007 version, even though I did buy the Studio 2011 version). I also own a WordFast license, but I don't like working with WordFast at all.

And I hate the way Trados is trying to monopolize the market
