I'd like to look for past broadcasts featuring music by some of my favorite lesser-known composers (or, if someone knows of a Russian to Latvian transliteration chart, please advise me), Galynin, Taktakishivli, and Balasanyan. I think I've got it worked out now. It seems that you have to add an "s" to some names but others you add an "a" to (Prokofjeva). Maybe I should look up my friend from high school (40+ years ago), Janis Starcs, and ask him how to spell all these names! Gary | | | Balttext Latvia Local time: 07:02 English to Latvian + ...
It is mostly adding the -s, but of course, it depends... As regards Prokofjeva, it should be Prokofjevs, while Prokofjeva means Prokofjev's (symphony, for example) Regards, Uldis | | | GaryG Local time: 00:02 English + ... TOPIC STARTER Ah, now I understand! | Feb 22, 2006 |
