What translation project are you working on right now?
This month I keep working on the translation of a linear algebra book, plus several reports on chemistry, maths and physics for an educational organisation and some posts for the website of a direct client! All while waiting for the start of a contract for an international organisation. (edited) I just delivered a Maths book I've been translating during the summer, it's been a very interesting job! Just finished a brochure for a spectrometer, perfect for my physics background!
I'm translating several press releases on optoelectronic components, a field where I've previously worked as an engineer!
(edited) I'm translating a very interesting blog post on digital process automation for a regular client (BPM platform). I'm translating a letter to the customers of a application development plattform to inform them of the launch of a new version. I just finished the last review of an online course on industrial safety while carrying out hot work. Just finished translating the proceedings of a revision meeting of chemical guidelines for nuclear plants. I'm working on chapter 5 of some chemical control guidelines for fossil power plants, published by a scientific institute in the US. This is a 200,000 word document and I'm in charge of the review. This is a second job, after reviewing a few months ago another similar document for the same client. I just finished a short report on nuclear physics. I work regularly in this project, for this end client (a research institute in the US) since 2 years ago. Their reports show technical recommendations and results of studies aimed to improve the operation of nuclear plants. I just reviewed a safety audit of a manufacturing plant. This (safety audits of Spanish industrial plants) is a project I work on regularly and often in a very small team of really good translators, I find it very stimulating to be able to learn from each other. All done through excellent small agency too.
(edited) Finishing right now a review on Shopify's price plans for an end customer specialised in analysing website builders. Proofreading a report on nuclear physics translated by an excellent technical translator, as I can see :-). It's a pleasure when you proofread a document which is already really good technically and linguistically.
I'm having a full optics weekend for 2 different clients. On one hand, some lovely marketing informacion of optical instruments for children and an interesting report on CoB LED on the other.
