Hello everybody,

I would like to know if trados version 6.5 freelance is compatible with word 2007. (in Windows XP)

The issue was that I tried to install both but, first of all the Tados tool bar didn't appear. Then, I actived trados templates, and finally the tool bar appeared, but when I started the translation, once opened workbench, nothing happened.

I do not have a license for Word version 2003, so I don't know what to do in order to use trados.

You will either have to downgrade your Office, or upgrade Trados.

Hello Nikoli,

Trados 6.5 is not compatible with Word 2007 due to the many changes with the Word format, filters and the templates since the release of Trados 6.5.

I would recommend upgrading to SDL Trados 2007 to have full functionality with Word 2007.

I don't know how donwgrade offce 2007 to 2003, since version 2003 is not more in the market. I tried to buy a license for word 2003 without success.... even directectly to Microsoft.

Updating trados means buying a new license of the software?

Sorry about my lack of knowledge of these issues...
