Greeting!

My name is Yemo. I am from a small town in central Burma.

I learned English at the age of 19. After 2 year, I was an exchange student to a US university. I came back to Burma to finish my engineering school. During my free time, I volunteered to teach English at a local monastery since 2016. In 2016, I started to translate and I started my translation service with a guidance from senior translator. In 2017, I started my own language class and teaching English commercially. Along with that, I accepted some translation project. In 2019, I graduated from my college but continued teaching English.

In 2019 Covid pandemic hit my country, then I stared to work from home as a Burmese interpreter (6 hr/day). Currently, I am working as a freelancer for both translation and interpretation. To be specific, I am a Burmese interpreter working minimum 4 hour shift with an independent contract for a US language company, Propio Language Services.

Although I have engineering degree, I find my self more in love with language service where I help make the communication possible between people who speak different languages and have different cultures. I love reading and talking many aspects of life and culture. I think that's what makes me choose to be a freelance language service provider. I believe I will always be happy to continue this journey forward.
