翻译文本 - English英语 Edward Friedman, a politics faculty professor at the U.S.’ Wisconsin University and renowned expert on Chinese issues, opined that there are problems with China’s Xinjiang administrative policy: “At Xinjiang, career recruitment networks are all in the hands of the Han Chinese, and the Central Financial Funds meant to narrow the developmental gap between Xinjiang and the Southeast coastal areas are mostly used for the hiring of local Han Chinese”, “The number of Han Chinese immigrants increased, the Uyghurs started becoming the minority, and in recent years Central leaders have become more willing to implement forceful methods to suppress potential threats; all these caused Xinjiang’s Uyghurs to feel ostracised.” The Han Chinese-Uyghur conflict shows that China’s current Xinjiang administrative policy and high-handed ruling methods further deepen the contradictions and dissatisfaction between Han Chinese and Uyghurs.
Chinese汉语译成English英语: Sample translated paragraph for a testimonial for Oxford University (MBA programme) General field: 商务/金融 Detailed field: 商务/商业(普通)
翻译文本 - English英语 After three or so years in the legal profession, in order to verify the differences and similarities in enterprise management theory and lessons from the workplace, as well as to further understand the overall mechanism and concept of the enterprise, I resolutely went to Leeds University Business School to undertake an MBA and successfully graduated in 2009. However, after a year of MBA baptism, I discovered that the content covered in MBA is more than enough in terms of scope but falls short in terms of depth; the sheer number of topics also prevented me to have any spare time to develop a deep understanding in any specific field. In particular, with regards to knowledge in the financial realm that I have a deep interest in, most of them consisted of a sectional understanding and did not come across as incisive or comprehensive enough. In addition, what surprised me was that the only area where the MBA course intersected with law was in intellectual property management, with no course modules addressing legal structure and practice relevant to finance investment and enterprise finance operation.

I started out by helping my friends proofread and edit their dissertation papers while doing my MA course at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Whereby some of them suggested that I provide freelance services in this field.
My strengths lie in my equal proficiency in English (first language), Mandarin Chinese (mother tongue) and Bahasa Indonesia (native language). I also hold a JLPT 1 qualification and am proficient in written Japanese. My knowledge of both Asian and European cultures allow me to communicate messages succinctly with due relevance to a wide range of topics.
I have worked with Andovar Pte Ltd for a game translation project and am also working to translate Japanese manga (graphic novels) into English with a specialised translation community. Previously, I had worked with another translator in the UK serving mainly undergraduate and postgraduate students. I have handled over 70 cases in varying fields, including but not limited to, business, the arts/ fine arts, commerce, management, finance, medicine, literature, history, graphic design, design, economics, physics and social studies.
In addition, I helped serve as an interpreter to my Indonesian sports reporter friend from Go Sport newspaper during her overseas trip to the UK, interviewing former sportsmen Ian Rush and Peter Schmeichel.
Outside of translating and interpreting, I have worked with OgilvyOne, the digital marketing of Ogilvy Worldwide, one of the big advertising agencies in the world. Added to my experience working at the Marketing department of Fujitsu, a Fortune 500 company, I am conversant and experienced in advertising copy and editing, as well as social media.
