This issue exists since Studio 2009, without much (if any) improvement since.
The procedure to add a term in Studio (even 2014) is the most cumbersome that exists in the whole CAT world. Let me explain:

Click on the auto hide icon (only for the first time you add a term) 6. Click on the Editor to hide the Multiterm pane. Then wait some more. 7. You can now continue translating.
Now, compare this workflow with any other CAT tool, i.e. DVX.
Select source term (in left column) Select target term (in right column) Press Shift+F11 to save silently (or F11 to display term window with advanced options)
I would expect something much better than the above accessibility and productivity nightmare from the "market leader", wouldn't you?
I think that the root of the evil is having a separate application, namely MultiTerm, interact with Studio. Alignment in the past was done through WinAlign, until an integrated process replaced it. Will there ever be a similar move when it comes to terminology?

What about Term Injector

The only concern I have is management of termbases, as just to convert an excel into a termbase takes time, but if I shift to terminjector, I will have to h... See more
