Hi experts,
I usually access the internet via cable connection. When I try to connect to internet, the login windows get stuck and after some time, there is a message:
Page(s) unresponsive The following pages have been unresponsive. You can wait for them to become responsive or kill them. Kill Wait
Whether I press kill or wait, the result is same and this message appears again. I can't login in login window to access the internet.
Sometimes, I get this message:
Plug in unresponsive The following plug-in is unresponsive: Norton confidential Would you like to stop it. Yes No
Whether I press yes or no, the result is same and this message appears again. I can't login in login window.
Surprisingly, the icon of Norton antivirus has disappeared from my task bar and I can't open Norton Antivirus from All Programs also.
I somehow managed to access the internet by using a stick (which I use in emergency when cable connection is down) with a different internet browser because the above mentioned problem was persisting when I tried to access the internet with the earlier browser.

I look forward to your valuable advice.
In case you expect any help at all you should provide at least the following info:
Operating system Programs (and versions) you use to access Internet Your antivirus software version Extensions, toolbars or plug-ins
Without this information no one, even the most knowledgeable computer Guru, will be able to help you.

I use Windows XP and Norton Internet Security 2012 (this is not a trial version, instead a full version). I access internet via a cable connection (Hotwire) and I need to login in a login window (enter the name and password) each time I have to access internet after turning off the computer.
I have now noticed that this problem was persisting for Google Chrome only and when I use Safari or Mozilla Firefox, the system does not get stuck.

If I uninstall Google Chrome and then reinstall it, whether I'll lose the bookmarks which I have on Google Chrome. Is it possible to transfer those bookmarks to Safari or Mozilla Firefox?
Thanks and regards,
Chopra
