I've been using Metatexis for a while now and it mostly meets my needs. I've tested MemoQ a bit and find it not really to my taste (at least for now). I'm thinking of testing Wordfast, but I have a couple questions, maybe you can help.
1. They both work within Word (I'm talking about Wordfast Classic), will they conflict with each other if I put them both on my machine?

It can work

I have both on my machine. You have to make sure that the other is turned off in the Add-Ins menu or they hijack each others shortcuts. Once you get used to that it does work.
That said, I find Wordfast Classic much faster than Metatexis, and don't use Metatexis very often.

If you encounter any conflict, you can simply enable/disable what you need via the settings in Word parameters → Addons (or whatever it’s in English or your interface language, I translate from Russian).

I have them both as add-ins

Well, I used OmegaT to translate short documents and then installed Metatexis and then Wordfast Classic.
I have used them little so I don't know if my comment will help you. I noticed that Metatexis can get very slow sometimes. Yet, they're both very similar.
