I think prospección is best translated by canvassing or, in the case of markets, exploring.

In English we tend to use "prospective" adjectivally. The verbal use of prospecting is more familiar when related to oil exploration and the like.

As this is something the company has already achieved, maybe you could turn the sentence round a bit:

e.g. "The company's ability to secure/attract/win international business (opportunities) last year has enabled it...."
