Portuguese to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Context: As questões já foram superadas na decisão de recebimento da denúncia

Is there an equivalent term in US English for this? I can't find the expression explained or translated anywhere. All I can come up with is "decision of receipt" of the complaint. How about "indictment"?

not really much of a difference though if it's a legal action it would normally be "admitted"; if it's police complaint it would probably be "accepted."

What's the difference? What would be the difference between "admit" and "accept"? I think both of them are probably acceptable.

It needs more context, "accept" the complaint is also possible. It seems that whatever the complaint is about it had defects in it - of form, of substance - which were cured when it was accepted or admitted for prosecution.

Unclear, as usual, if this is a civi, admin., shipping or criminal case. But maybe won't impinge too much on the translation.
