Hi all,

I'm translating a complaint letter from a pharmacist working at a pharmaceutical company and he writes: "Foi quando o mesmo muito alterado na sala de psico na presença do colaborador me ofendeu gritando." What does "sala de psico" mean here?

@ Jerome There are so many options to choose from here, but the exact terminology cannot be accurately confirmed until you give more information about the situation being described in this letter. Was the room AT the pharmaceutical workplace? OR was it on a visit to a medical institution? Or even to a healthcare institution like a hospital or similar? Or somewhere else?

Since the letter was written by a pharmacist working at a pharmaceutical company and the content is related to the working environment, I believe that "psico" is the abbreviation for "psicoativos" ou "psicotrópicos". The term "sala", refers to the room where this pharmacist works or more accurately, the laboratory.
Example sentence:

"Continued support for submission of psychotropic laboratory testing..."

"...with others psychotropic laboratory values..."

In my research I found out that most references to "sala de psico" are in Spanish and seem to be related to psychomotor skills (psicomotricidad) or the place or these skills are practiced.

I did find at least two references in PT that corroborate this interpretation, one of which follows:
