(National Insurance scheme's) basic amount adjustment
The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs have opted to translated the "G" thus: "Many benefits from the National Insurance Scheme are determined in relation to a basic amount (B.a). " (see reference) (which I personally am not in favour of). Suggestion: "NI basic amount adjustment"?

Basic social security rate adjustment
"Regulering av folketrygdens grunnbeløp (G)" is an annual political event. Earned pension benefits are expressed as a number of G's, up to six. You add to this number for each year you pay more than a certain amount of tax. When you start drawing pension, the accumulated number stays fixed, and G-regulering adjusts pension rates for inflation.

: ...but perhaps we have to accept this official "b.a." as indicated by Brigid?
