I know San Vittore is a prison in Milan, Italy, in this specific context I have a deponent under 'remand order.'
So I am wondering shall I say 'San Vittore Detention Facility' or 'Remand Prison'
I do not know how to render 'casa circondariale'

Evidently, "Casa Circondariale" is not part of the name of the prison, so I would simply say it as above. In AE there's a distinction to be made between "jail" and "prison," which is a detail you might want to consider, depending on the audience. I would have no idea what a "remand prison" was, so I'd avoid that. Meanwhile, if you google "San Vittorio" "prison" and "Milan", you'll get lots of hits.

: There aren't separate remand prisons in Italy, as far as I know. I agree with keeping it simple, unless you do need to specify the actual meaning of Casa Circondariale. In that case, Giovanni Pezzati sheds light on the subject.

: A fine literal rendering, but it creates more questions in English than it resolves. If we're talking Dickens, maybe. You need prison or jail. Other terms (det facility, etc.) are euphemisms of the prison industry. Depends how much you want to comply.
