In questo caso credo sia proprio il guidanave nei porti, anche al femminile 'pilotina'. Potrebbe anche esserci, però, una differenza di significato tra il maschile e il femminile.

una sorta di *l'aiutante di navigazione*, come anche suggerito dallo IATE
