Italian term

mostrine

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks car parts

Alicia Eastman (asker) Oct 3, 2011:
escutcheons I saw this term as a solution in another proz entry, but it seemed to be mainly for keyhole siding, however there was some ambiguity as to whether it was used to describe this kind of furbishing around the gauges, etc., in cars. Could this be it, rather than trim?

I think this could work as a catch-all, it is clearly pretty general

panels, plates being more specific, but the context I don't think bears this out
Peer comment(s):

agree Jennifer Levey : Yes. Anything else (panels, fascias, bezels, etc.) is likely to be too specific.
