Italian term

in fronte televisione

Italian to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations sport
From a licensing agreement involving signage at sports grounds.

A rendere le seguenti prestazioni:

. 2 cartelli fissi, uno dietro ogni panchina in fronte televisione

Obviously I'm not getting the televisione part because I can't see how it can be dietro every panchina and also in fronte televisione. Help much appreciated, thanks.

Discussion

Amy Taylor Jul 30, 2009:
Agree with Adriana I think that "in fronte televisione" modifies 'panchina' and not 'cartelli'. HTH.
Adriana Maciel Jul 30, 2009:
I think (not sure) that the confusion is because you think it is "dietro every panchina AND ALSO in fronte televisione", when it is in fact that the panchina is in fronte televisione...

facing the TV cameras

I think it is that the advertising panels are on the back of the rows but facing the TV cameras. Otherwise nobody will see them.

Think of a soccer game or any game plaid on a rectangular field. The TV cameras are one side of the field, some of them way up at the back of the last row. They can catch not only the field but also the back of the rows in front of them.
This is the way I see it. Hope it helps.

Ah, gotcha - hadn't thought of that camera angle. Makes sense. Thank you!
