French term
à l'usage de
French to English
Law/Patents
Law: Contract(s)
vehicle logistics/IS
Hi. Perhaps it's leftover-turkey brain (all that tryptophan!), but I am confused by the construction of 'utilisateurs à l'usage de...' at the end of this sentence, and would like to know what you think it means. Are the training and support features being used, or is this a strange way of saying 'users using the products and services'?
Background: DTSI is the IT/IS department of a large French auto maker.
Here goes:
Les ESIL (Engagement SI Local) assurent : le fonctionnement opérationnel des Systèmes Informatiques ; l'assistance au quotidien de l'utilisateur ; l'analyse et le traitement des besoins des utilisateurs ; le déploiement des nouveaux projets et de leurs évolutions ; la formation et l'accompagnement des utilisateurs à l'usage des produits et services DTSI.

"users in the use of" is a little repetitive. I'd just drop it all together and turn it round some other way, eg : users of X,Y and Z.
