English term
Data quality evaluation on the Web of Data includes new challenges
English
Tech/Engineering
Computers (general)
database
My doubt is in the use of the preposition on. Is it correct or is better to use "of the Web of Data". This sentence is part of an scientific paper, so I need I formal and correct language. The text is in UK English.
Paragraph where the sentence is:
Methodologies and frameworks for assessing data quality have been proposed by the database community. However, data quality evaluation on the Web of Data includes new challenges. For example, it involves analysis of independent data sources that are constantly updated.
Any help will be very appreciate. Thanks.

However, evaluation of data quality on the Web of Data includes new challenges.
The sentence suggests that it is the quality of the data, which is being evaluated.
I would be tempted to write "evaluation of data quality on the Data Web, if I knew whether or not "Web of Data" is a fixed title of something.

Discussion
So the web is a dynamic tool in the evaluation, hence "on", not only the original source of data considered static that "the web of data" could suggest
So my understanding is
- "on the web": -> the web is a dynamic analysis tool of the data that it provides
- "of the web": the web is a source of the static data evaluated out of it
The rest of the document should clarify the meaning, but the mention of "data constantly updated" lets me suspect that "on" is correct
