The JSOTF/SOC and SFOB/Group staff:
Depending on the type of mission, these staffs should have conducted the targeting process with the Combatant Commander’s staff as well as conducted a Feasibility Assessment (FA) on this mission.
This is normally where the Special Operations Mission Planning Folders (SOMPF) and Target Intelligence Packets (TIP) are started.
This process can take anywhere from days to months.
