Estoy traduciendo una guía de instalación de maquinaría industrial y en una sección dedicada a los suministros de aire se menciona este término "air supply drop"
Contexto:
Refer to Section 2, Part C floor plan for centerline locations.
All overhead obstructions should be removed to allow normal operation of Alliance equipment (lights, plumbing, duct work, etc.)
Refer to Section 2, Part C floor plan for individual machine height requirements.
The air supplies should be routed and ready to install when the machine is in place.

Como el espacio permitido en el comentario me limita mucho (y mi experiencia con kudoz es bastante limitada) querría extender un poco más la respuesta al segundo comentario de Neil.
Como decía en primer lugar una interrupción en un proceso no tiene pq ser involuntaria o accidental (?)
Además en proyectos/documentación técnica suele haber normas obligatorias (y en este sentido se usaría la palabra ESPECIFICACIONES en castellano) que han de observarse en determinadas situaciones, ya sean las mismas accidentales, deseadas, no, provocadas deliberadamente...

: How would that fit in with "air supply drop specification"? // I don't think that an unwanted/unintentional fall in supply would have specifications, may be it would have "limits" and would be measured, but not specified, IMO.

Pues simplemente "especificaciones sobre interrupcion de suministro de aire" (o sea, qué hacer en caso de...)
Una interrupción no tiene pq ser involuntaria. Además en proyectos suele haber normas obligatorias (ESPECIFICACIONES) para det. situaciones

¿Será que air drop significa "salida de aire" ??
air drop locations = ubicaciones con entradas de aire
air supply drop = suministro de entradas de aire.
Ahora que lo pienso no suena muy coherente.... para empezar pq ese drop es un verbo y el mío no... rayos
