da quello che ho capito read in (in realtà sarebbe into) significa dare a qualcosa un significato ulteriore rispetto a quello che ha. Come tradurlo in questo caso? leggere tra le righe? La frase potrebbe essere: 'aggiungere o togliere qualcosa al significato letterale dei termini'?
