I think both words, redemption and εξαργύρωση, are quite common It is their combination with "access code" that is unclear to most people, including me. It is also probably a silly extension of the meaning of 'redeem' here. You do not really redeem the code: you do not give it up in exchange for use of the site.

I'm supporting Contantine's εξαργύρωση. Even if you say «Πόσοι θα καταλάβουν τι σημαίνει η "εξαργύρωση" σ' αυτή την περίπτωση;» the same can be said of "redemption". It is not a common word in English, but internet users "get" what it means.
