I know that the data-transfer rate is measured in Mbps. Does anybody know, though, what the term "incremets" refers to here?

Here's the full sentence:
This provider offers private bandwidth in fifty *megabit per second increments*.

neutral  Thomas Pfann: „Schritte“ ja, aber der Rest sollte auch übersetzt und dann richtig angeschlossen werden (Bindestrich!). Im Ausgangstext geht es um „50 megabit per second increments“ also „50-Mbit/s-Schritte“ oder besser „Schritte von 50 Mbit/s“ (oder auch „Abstufungen“)
