As I said, I was trying to actually tell this to someone, and that's why the context is "inexistant". I was referring to a child since he starts walking until he grows up. Thanks mtfadel, I really like the option "de la maternelle à l'université". It just didn't come to mind! |

To create an echo with the word "first". This might also be closer to your English sentence, since you mention "first steps", that is way before starting school.

: depends what is meant by graduation, but in the UK sense it's graduation from university so it's often the last, not the first, diploma
