spots/ pimples
I would only use the word "acne" if it is a real skin disease which covers all or most of the face. But when they appear individually, come and go and respond to simple treatment, they are just called spots or pimples.

Acne Vulgaris
Acne is right but I think Acne Vulgaris is more accurate.
