freezing arthritis

English translation: periarthritis

English term or phrase: freezing arthritis
I have been told I have freezing arthritis, and that it defies both the treatment, and the symptoms of normal osteo, or rumatoid arthritis. I have also had doctors laugh at the diagnosis of freezing arthritis here in the United States. There are no swollen joints, and it is only detectable by z-rays. I can certainly vouch for the unbearable pain which happens to be here at the moment. I cannot tolerate cold even in a very air conditioned room. I have had pan ulcerative colitis, and I am told by some that is merely a side effect from the colitis. The colon is gone now as a result of a proceedure call an ileo-anal Pull through. I have had surgery for a frozen shoulder, and still the pain is migratory, and severe. There are no normal signs that one would expect. I am a diabetic, and can simply not tolerate steroids as they put me in intensive care every time because it's so brittle. I suppose I am looking for conformation that a "freezing arthritis" exists in your opinion, and would like to hear your comments, if any.

Thank you. It seems I don't read German as well as I used to. I thought this was an "ask the doctor" forum site. Thanks again for your time.
