English term

to inform this process for teachers

English to Spanish Other Linguistics Early Childhood Teaching Programs
Making informed decisions about teaching young children requires that teachers have knowledge on which to base their practices. In subsequent parts of this book, we provide more specific descriptions and examples **to inform** this decisionmaking process for teachers working with children in each of three age groups: infants and toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners, 3- through 5-year-olds, and primary-grade children, ages 6 through 8.

DEFINITIVAMENTE, NO ES INFORMAR NI ENSEÑAR.
¡AGRADECERÉ SUS INFORMADAS SUGERENCIAS!
Gracias, amigos.

"Ilustrar" me gusta mucho, Mikel.

Hello, Ruth! You are right, and I had already composed a very nice Spanish version before posting the question. However, I decided to ask because I have seen this verb used in similar contexts, and curiosity is killing me.
Refugio Oct 25, 2004:
In reality, Euge, that whole phrase "to inform this decisionmaking process" is a redundant and awkward rehash of the first sentence, and could be omitted entirely IMHO. ;~}

De hecho, Ruth tiene razón. El original suena artificioso. Tú sabrás si tienes \"permiso\" de editarlo o traducirlo tal cual ;-)
