ein vom Gericht bestellter Betreuer (kein Rechtsanwalt!!), der für einen bestimmten Betreuungsfall (eine Person, die Dinge nicht allein entscheiden kann) einen Betreuerausweis erhält und bestimmte Aufgaben zu erfüllen hat (z.B. Vertretung bei Behörden, Gesundheitssorge, Vermögenssorge, Wohnungsangelegenheiten, Briefe öffnen)

Just checked with another source, who is a solicitor. She said that the term also applies to adults who are incapable of making decisions on their own, e.g. due to mental illness etc., so the term does not just apply to minors. Kind regards. ;-) Ron

ist sowas wie ein "Vormund", oder? dann wurde guardian passen
sonst habe ich fur betreuer nur "person in charge" gefunden, aber dann musst du alles umbauen
