Isso aparece com certa frequência, Por exemplo "O fulano é muito amigo meu, tanto que me convidou para trabalhar no banco" ou "Foi antes de eu sair, tanto que os caras queriam que fosse para lá". Essa é uma dúvida geral minha.

Sometimes the "so much so" solutions don't sound right in the context. Very often you can put a semicolon at tne end of the statement and start the rest with "in fact, he...." and if you think more emphasis is needed, can add "even"
Fulano is a very good friend of mine; in fact, he even......
Instead of a semicolon, you can start a new sentence {In fact, he even...), which is a good idea if you already have too many lengthy sentences in English.
