Es un procedimiento administrativo en el que una sentencia se hace sin considerar (los mérites) el fondo de la reclamación. Una sentencia por defecto está tratado bajo la regla del procedimiento de las cortes. Existen un número de condiciones que se deben satisfacer antes de una sentencia del tribunal. El demandado tiene que haber sido informado de la reclamación. El demandado tiene que no haber respuesto a la reclamación. El período permitido de tiempo se ha caducado. Un solicitante puede obtener una sentencia por defecto al presentar una solicitación en el formulario pertinente. Se trata de la entrega de mercancías o una cuantía específica de dinero cuando el formulario le da al demandado la alternativa de pagar el valor reclamado.
