I take Wilsonn's Site Rules point, but the two words function in combination as a doublet and couplet and cannot really be left split up in 'suspended animation'.
Proceedings can be the divorce action / 'trial' itself or the papers relating thereto.

These two words are best combined in a sentence which is true to thir meaning in my opinion, and better than separating them into two individual concepts.This answer has been approved by the Committee for the Promotion of Plain English. There are no "trials" here (due to the stated 'mutual consent') no " whereas's" , and no " upon reading" as that would naturally presume a judgment following on in a subordinate clause as a result of such an introductory clause.

: Judges don't simply read "case file notes" they read the papers (i.e. in full) not mere notes, and "autos" decidedly does not mean "notes" any more than "cars"

"Auto" in this context is the fourth RAE definition below. You could translate as "filed documents", but I don't love that translation so I will think about it more before posting a suggestion.
