The main issue is adding the question to the glossary. If there is no suitable answer then I can only add the question to the glossary or close it - There are only two choices. If I close it then all your (and other member's) hard work gets lost and won't contribute in the future.

Consider my suggestion as a first draft, cuz I probably would have changed it anyway if I'd been the one doing the job.

you could do it much more concisely. Also, "supervisory board" usually means something else. How about Western Switzerland Occupational Pensions and Trusts Authority? An authority is responsible for enforcing the law, so "the law on" is not necessary.

Your translation The Western Switzerland Supervisory Board for the Law on Occupational Pensions and Foundations is fine but I would retain the French and add this in brackets as the names of bodies and institutions should not be translated

I'd say, albeit without having looked closely at what it does. Re LPP: I prefer Swiss and Belgian translations to be the same from all the national languages, so I usually write abbreviations out.

The law itself is here, as you've probably seen by now: https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/oc/2004/207/fr. You can see from the site that there is no government translation into English.

This is useful info, but still I can think of nothing better than my original translation :
"The LPP supervisory Board for Foundations of Western Switzerland"" (as stated in my original question above).
Do you think I should just leave this as I had it there.?
