Medical - Medical: Health Care / Swiss DRG
German term or phrase: Anlagenutzungskosten
The document is a cost-effectiveness analysis comparing two types of surgeries. This term comes up in a discussion of DRG-relevant factors. It appears only in a table, as "KG mit (ANK)", and the abbreviations are given as "Kostengewicht" (cost weight) and "Anlagenutzungskosten".
What is the English term for this or does it require an explanation?

agree  Steffen Walter: https://www.pwc.ch/publications/2016/pwc_spitalimmobilien_pe... seems to suggest that this exclusively refers to real estate, i.e. hospital buildings (see pp. 7 and 16-19)./Basically it does, but it doesn't seem to refer to equipment.

other hospital costs / general hospital costs / general inpatient related costs

Explanation:
I actually agree with Phil, but this might involve property specifically, as in costs involved in using the physical assets in terms of the hospital room, equipment, etc, apart from medication. So it is like a catch all cost item.

facility fee

Explanation:
Facilities can refer to the hospital's fixed assets. The second example sentence clearly refers to visits to Canadian healthcare facilities as buildings.

Example sentence(s):
  • USA: You may be asked to pay a facility fee when you see a doctor at a facility that he or she doesn’t own or that is owned by a hospital.
  • Canada: If you visit one of our *healthcare facilities* with a valid healthcare insurance card from another Canadian province, you are covered during the first three months of your stay in Quebec.

neutral  Steffen Walter: Your suggestion seems to be off the mark in this case. See https://www.pwc.ch/publications/2016/pwc_spitalimmobilien_pe... for the Swiss "Anlagenutzungskosten" concept this question refers to.

Reference information:
https://www.pwc.ch/publications/2016/pwc_spitalimmobilien_pe... explains this Swiss concept in more detail (see pages 7 and 16-19 in particular). Based on this information, I'd probably tend towards using "asset utilisation cost" or "property utilisation cost". I'd wait for other colleagues' comments/contributions, though.
