Diciamo che il termine usato vuol dire soprattutto questo, però anche l'altra soluzione potrebbe essere giusta nel tuo caso, perché se si tratta di una charge port interna allo strumento ci si potrebbe riferire alla protezione della presa, anche se non hanno usato socket. Forse hai qualche immagine che ti permette di capire gli accessori in dotazione e gli elementi di interfaccia di cui parla.

Asker: In effetti pensavo a un tappo in gomma, ma avevo il dubbio perché normalmente si usa "rubber plug" piuttosto che questo termine che non avevo mai sentito.

Asker: Penso anch'io perché, come dicevo prima al collega, i tappi in gomma vengono solitamente denominati come rubber plug. L'ambiguità c'è perché plug potrebbe essere sia un tappo che uno spinotto, per cui sarei più orientato verso la tua scelta.
