English term

pitch allowance

English to German Art/Literary Music
To account for a vibrato, the vocal analyser has a pitch allowance, this pitch allowance allows singers to be slightly sharp or flat (above/below the note) and still score.
On occasion singers drift into this vibrato pitch allowance with a pure tone (without vibrato) and therefore they sing slightly sharp or flat but still score.
This pitch allowance was used across the entire series to be fair to all singers.

This is for a show where contestants sing.

Discussion

Rolf Keller Jun 20, 2020:

Intonationstoleranz

Intonation i. S. d.
